I am so excited. I just got my Maternal Mitochondria results from National Geographic's Genographic Project. My maternal grandmother, Christine Spady, was German born in Norka, Russia. Through her, I belong to the Haplogroup U5. Originating 50,000 years ago, U5's are quite restricted to Scandinavia, particularly Finland.
